
The Disability Mobility Center is a non-commercial (non-entrepreneurial) legal entity operating in accordance with the Constitution of Georgia, relevant legislation, and its own statute. The goal of the organisation is to support equal conditions for persons with disabilities and establish effective mechanisms for protecting their rights and interests, especially in the spheres of personal mobility, independent living and involvement in community, accessibility, to implement Articles 20, 19 and 9 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

In addition, the areas of work of the Disability Mobility Center are:
- Legal and social protection of persons with disabilities;
- Organisation of the rehabilitation process for persons with disabilities;
- Strengthening the basic rights of persons with disabilities and raising the standard of living;
- Solving the issues of persons with disabilities related to the adequate working and leisure conditions;
- Supporting the advancement of the medical assistance for disabled persons;
- Facilitating the creation of rehabilitation centres for persons with disabilities, treatment and preventive institutions, sports, and health sections;
- Development and implementation of economic, social, cultural, and other programmes;
- Supporting the organisation of workplaces for persons with disabilities;
- Raising awareness on the topic of disability;
- Organizing training courses on the topic of disability;
- Establishing relations with organisations of a similar nature in Georgia and foreign countries;
- Establishing relations with foreign donors, exchange of specialists, invitation of foreign specialists in order to raise qualifications.
